St. James House

The focus of the project has been the expansion of the social spaces at the rear of the house, dedicated to family and social interactions, and their integration with the large garden facing southeast.
The natural light path determined some of the initial design moves related to the massing and fenestration of the new extension Large glazing units offer unhindered views out whilst the generous rooflights ensure that as much light as possible is carried inside the house. Functional spaces are clearly defined, with the kitchen taking center stage as it wraps around the corner window articulating the generous dining area which affords the best vistas to the garden. A family snug space is tucked at the back, treated in warmer colours and defining a calmer area for relaxation which retains a visual connection to the hustle and bustle of the kitchen.

Veronica and Il’ic have an exceptional eye for detail, strong design sensibility, and thoughtful recommendations for interior décor. Their ability to balance functionality with aesthetic appeal made a significant difference in our project. Their creative input and professionalism were truly appreciated throughout the process.
