As Project Associate for Rolfe Judd Architects, Studio Director Veronica Um was in charge of the restoration and conversion of the former Richmond Royal Hospital, delivering a high quality mixed-use scheme within a significant Grade II listed building. The sensitive development incorporates a modern healthcare facility alongside the provision of new residential accommodation, in the form of 71 apartments located over 5 floors, with views over Old Deer Park, Kew Gardens and Central London. The previous healthcare use was consolidated into a new modern 500sqm space housed within the Northern Wing of the site. The listed buildings have been converted to their original residential use, retaining and refurbishing the existing Buildings of Townscape Merit.
