We have worked with developer Dellar & Palmerston on the transformation of the public realm surrounding a new residential development in Harrow & Wealdstone. The scheme hinges on the re-activation of spaces around and under a busy flyover; the landscape scheme provides a cohesive and civic narrative to the public spaces whilst achieving a secure, more intimate ambience to the secondary residential streets on the site.
Key elements such as the flyover stanchions, building entrances, corners and edges, principal soft landscape and bounding elements provide visual signature incidents across the site. Low and medium level ground, planters, ramp/steps, planting and lighting help identify clear routes between these signature elements and define the way-finding principles across the site.
Wayfinding and signage design across the site including the residential buildings was included in our appointment.
