Cork Street

Studio Director Veronica Um was Rolfe Judd Architects’ Associate in charge for the design and delivery of this significant development in Central London. Cork Street represents a complex, mixed-use redevelopment which fronts onto two established and well-known streets in the Mayfair Conservation Area. New art gallery space, high end retail and prime offices are provided in this comprehensive regeneration scheme.
Retention and refurbishment of existing street façades are combined with significant new build encompassing many components. These include three plots fronting New Bond Street and four plots fronting Cork Street. New, flexible and open spaces revitalise the streetscapes and reinforce the character of the Conservation Area. Significantly improved gallery, retail and office accommodation is provided as well as the sensitive transformation of the mews to create a new infill. The former, utilitarian service road is now an animated and unifying amenity area.
