Drakefell Loft

We worked closely with our clients, a fun-loving family of four, to shape this loft extension to the exacting requirements of one of the daughters. The result is a successful, efficient space at the top of the house, utilising every nook to provide storage, shelves and cabinets and introducing a wide panoramic window enjoying the views north towards the Telegraph Hill Conservation area. The layout maximises the space for circulation, carving out a space-efficient shower room with a generous rooflight. The massing, character and materiality of the new dormer window required careful consideration and engagement with Lewisham’s Planning Department to ensure full agreement on the principles underpinning the development.
